350 thousand people to be vaccinated against influenza in Penza region

Penza, 20 September 2012. PenzaNews. 350 thousand residents of the Penza region are going to be vaccinated against influenza from federal budget resources in 2012.

According to the press service of the regional Ministry of Health and Social Development, this number includes 100 thousand children.
“As part of the national vaccination calendar, influenza vaccination will be free for 250 thousand adults at risk: health professionals, employees of educational institutions, students of secondary and higher education institutions, people with chronic diseases and persons over the age of 60,” the press service explained.
The ministry stressed that, in addition to the money allocated from the federal budget, 15 thousand doses of vaccine for the immunization of social institutions staff will be purchased with the money from regional funds.
“Persons not included in the risk group are advised to be vaccinated at place of employment,” added the press service.
