Penza, 24 September 2012. PenzaNews. The Penza region will receive additional 177 million rubles from the federal budget for the program of health system modernization. This was announced by the head of the Health Ministry of the region Vladimir Stryuchkov during the operational meeting in the regional government on Monday, September 24.

The minister said that these funds will be used to purchase additional equipment for hospitals.

He clarified that at present major repairs are carried out in 40 health care centers of the Penza region — total cash execution of the program is 61%.

“Serious delays are registered in Bashmakovo, Gorodichshe, Zemetchino, and children’s clinic in Kamenka. The time of delay is 2–3 weeks. Short delays — 1–2 days — are registered in the regional hospital named after N. Burdenko, City Emergency Hospital, Central Regional Hospital of Narovchat, and Penza city maternity home, but I think we are going to catch up with the plan during the first half of October,” Vladimir Stryuchkov noted.

The minister named particularly problematic cases, which are situated in the village Sosedka, Bashmakovsky area, therapeutic department of Central Regional Hospital, the clinic and maternity hospital in Zemetchino, as well as the situation in Gorodichshe.

“As for purchasing and delivering the new medical equipment to hospitals — the program is fulfilled up to almost 60%,” Vladimir Stryuchkov concluded.
