“We are soon to open one more kindergarten in Sever district. If anyone thinks that we have serious problems with keeping children on the waiting list to get into the kindergarten in Penza, then I would say that our city looks good enough compared to the rest of Russia,” he said.
The Head of the region thanked the mothers who came to the opening of the kindergarten, and asked them to continue improving the demographic indices.
“I fear an echo of the demographic crisis of the 1990s — fear that kindergarten will be empty. Therefore, let us agree, compatriots, that we shall try to save our region, city and the whole country through our love and children. I would like to see the civil society, all reasonable people come and join solving this problem,” the governor said.
As news agency PenzaNews reported previously, on Tuesday, September 25, due to the opening of a new kindergarten ready to admit 230 children, the Head of administration of Penza Roman Chernov announced elimination of kindergarten waiting lists in Zapadnaya Polyana district.
