“The device has two cameras — a wide-angle camera recording road signs and road marking, and a long-distance-focused one to record car license plates. Effective patrolling at night or in conditions of poor visibility is provided by a spotlight,” reported the press service of the traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region.

The department explained that to detect parking violations the patrol crew will need to pass the same stretch of road twice, with a five-minute interval.

“This is the amount of time a car can be parked under the “No parking” sign to let the passengers out. If after five minutes the camera records the car again, it will be regarded as a traffic violation,” the press service explained.
