Penza, 2 November 2012. PenzaNews. Colonel Igor Khvostikov was appointed the head of the Federal Security Service in the Penza region according to the decree of the Russian President Vladimir Putin. The former head of the regional Federal Security Service is Major General Victor Kunov, who was released from his duties due to the dismissal from the service. “The new head of the service was presented to the personnel on Friday, November 2,” reported the press service of the Federal Security Service in the Penza region.

Igor Khvostikov was born on July 11, 1966 in the city of Cherkessk, Stavropol Krai.

In 1992 he graduated from the Highest School of KGB.

From 1992 to 2012 he served in FSS of Stavropol Krai, starting as security officer, and qualifying for the first deputy head of department.

Igor Khvostikov has state and service awards.

He is married and has two sons.
