Introduction of universal electronic cards slowed down in Penza region

Penza, 13 November 2012. PenzaNews. The Penza region took the third place in the ranking of the regions of the Russian Federation in the process of universal electronic card introduction, held by JSC “UEC,” which is the federal coordinator and operator of the project, as of November 12.

According to the study, from the beginning of November there has been no progress on implementation of UEC in the region: the level of readiness of the Penza region to the use of universal electronic card, which was 53,33% according to the results of 10 months, has not changed.

A similar readiness index, according to the ranking, is observed in the Altai Krai, Kemerovo, Kursk, Lipetsk region and the Republic of Tatarstan.

The top of the readiness ranking is taken by the Astrakhan region and the Krasnodar Krai — 80%, the Republic of Bashkortostan takes the second place — 73,33%.

According to the head of the department of information of the Penza region Alexander Antonov, a pilot project of universal electronic card introduction allowing access to a wide range of public services, will begin in Penza in December.
