Penza, 15 November 2012. PenzaNews. 2,373 units of technical means of rehabilitation and prosthetic appliances purchased at the expense of Penza regional branch of the Social Insurance Fund of Russia since the beginning of 2012.

“People with disabilities received 816 wheelchairs of different modifications, 655 chairs with sanitary equipment, over two thousand diapers and absorbent underwear, 534 hearing aid devices. Moreover, 2,609 prostheses and orthopedic devices of different modifications were sponsored by the Fund,” said the Head of Public Relations of the regional branch of the Fund Oksana Yeger.

She also noted that in 2012, Penza branch of the Social Insurance Fund of Russia received 171,700 thousand rubles for the technical means of rehabilitation.

“The quality of technical devices delivered under the state contracts is inspected by the specialists of the Fund together with the representatives of Penza Regional Branch of the Russian Society of Disabled People,” the agency interlocutor pointed out.
