Penza, 21 November 2012. PenzaNews. The Penza region needs to implement a quality project on educational services export. This opinion was expressed by the Director of the Institute of International Cooperation of Penza State University Olga Meshcheryakova at the workshop on education held in Penza on Wednesday, November 21. According to her, foreign citizens arriving in the region for permanent or temporary residence study mainly in higher educational institutions.

“Penza State University currently has 706 students from 27 foreign countries, most of who study on a contract basis,” explained Olga Meshcheryakova.

According to her, Penza should invite foreign citizens to study in specialized secondary educational institutions, which train students for working professions.

“This will not only help prepare qualified specialists capable of producing high-quality, competitive products, but also improve the image of colleges and technical secondary schools,” she said.

Olga Meshcheryakova also emphasized that the training of foreign citizens in working professions must be carried out in accord with enterprises’ needs of personnel.
