Penza, 22 November 2012. PenzaNews. JSC “Russian Railways” introduced a new service that allows returning e-tickets for long-distance trains on the official website of the company.

According to the press secretary of the Penza region department of the company Alevtina Goldinova, the service applies to the passengers who purchased their travel documents beginning from November 19, 2012.

“E-tickets can be returned in “My Account” section. One can return the entire order or a particular e-ticket from the order. After receiving the boarding pass, one returns the ticket only at the ticket office,” she specified.

The agency interlocutor explained that one is able to return the ticket no later than 6 hours before the departure if one did not go through online registration, and no later than 1 hour after online registration.

“The cost of the ticket is fully refunded to the payer’s bank card, with which the payment was made within 7 to 30 days, which is set by the rules of the payment systems,” Alevtina Goldinova added.
