“At 16.00 the concert with the participation of groups “Titan” and “Traffic starts,” added the press service of Kuznetsk administration.

World AIDS Day was introduced on December 1, 1988 when the meeting of health ministers of all countries called for social tolerance and the exchange of information about HIV.

Since 1991, the symbol of the fight against AIDS is a red ribbon, the idea of which belongs to the American artist Frank Moore.

The project “Red Ribbon” was officially launched at the 45th “Tony Awards” on 2 June 2000, when all the nominees and the participants were asked to pin red ribbons to their clothes.

According to the idea of the project, the red inverted letter “V” symbolizes compassion and support to the infected and hope for a future without AIDS.
