Penza, 30 November 2012. PenzaNews. One of the reasons for the growing number of accidents in Penza — 63% for the 9 months of 2012 — is the increase of the number of inexperienced drivers. This was announced by the head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs Yevgeny Ezhov during the 45th session of the City Duma of the fifth convocation on Friday, November 30.
“Only for the stated period the residents of Penza received 33 thousand driving license, which is 2 thousand more than for 9 months of 2011,” he added.
The head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that about 30% of the applicants willing to obtain driver’s license drop out at the stage of examination due to changes in the process.
“Now, making one mistake at a theory test adds a few more questions, and the driving test is divided in two stages,” he noted.
Yevgeny Ezhov also stressed that for 9 months of 2012 in Penza they registered 7 thousand vehicles more than for the same period last year.
