Penza, 3 December 2012. PenzaNews. A celebration dedicated to the International Day of Disabled People was held in the Concert Hall “Molodezhny” in Penza on Monday, December 3.
The chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev, addressing the audience with a welcoming speech, noted that people with disabilities often show healthy people, the right attitude to life.
“In this room today I see courageous, strong-willed people who find themselves in a difficult situation due to their health, but they have not lost faith in life,” the speaker underlined.
During the event, diplomas and letters of appreciation were presented to the leaders and active members of the Penza regional offices of such public organizations as the All-Russian Society of Disabled People, the All-Russian Society of Deaf People, Afghanistan War Cripples, and the All-Russian Society of Blind People.
Then the audience had a chance to enjoy a concert prepared by disabled students of Penza College of Culture and Arts, and the folk song and dance group “Kazachia zastava.”
