Penza, 4 December 2012. PenzaNews. Electronic registry is now available in all municipal hospitals of Penza. This was announced by the head of regional informatization department Alexander Antonov.

“This innovation has been introduced gradually. First it was put in operation only in some hospitals, and then it was extended to all health care institutions of the region,” he noted.

Alexander Antonov explained that e-registry is a single database of doctors’ appointments.

“Whichever way the patient chooses to register — on the telephone, the Internet or at the reception office at the hospital — he is sure to get on the centralized register,” the agency interlocutor underlined.

According to him, one of the main advantages of e-registry is inter-room appointments.

“For example, a physician after having examined a patient decides to send him to a specific doctor, gastroenterologist, for instance. He can do this with the help of his own computer at his workplace,” Alexander Antonov pointed out.

“Electronic registry will allow keeping a permanent record of the flow of patients in all hospitals in the Penza region,” he concluded.
