Penza day camps welcomed over 10 thousand children in 2012

Penza, 6 December 2012. PenzaNews. 10,070 children rested in Penza day camps during the summer of 2012. This was reported by the deputy head of the city administration Larisa Ryabikhina at the meeting of the standing committee on public safety, protection of human rights and emergency situations on Thursday, December 6.

“From June 1, 2012 the day camps opened in 67 Penza schools with a total coverage of 7,520 children. During July, 11 of such camps hosted 550 children,” she specified.

Larisa Ryabikhina added that the day camp session duration was 21 days.

“The cost per person amounted to 71 rubles a day. The funding was provided by the municipal and regional budgets,” she underlined.

“In June 2012, a tent camp also opened for children in a difficult life situation. It hosted 25 boys and girls,” Larisa Ryabikhina added.

According to her, during summer 2012, the municipal country camps — “Stroitel,” “Orlenok,” “Oktyabrsky,” and “Yunost” welcomed 2,170 children.

“Over 8 million rubles — around 5 million from the municipal budget and 3 million from the regional — were allocated in order to prepare healthcare country camps for the summer season,” Larisa Ryabikhina summarized.
