Penza, 24 December 2012. PenzaNews. Program providing hot meals to people having no permanent place of residence, will begin with the blessing of Metropolitan of Nizhnelomovsk and Penza Benjamin on Wednesday, December 26.

“Once a week, lay sisters and brothers of churches together with social service workers of Penza will distribute hot meals in certain places in the city, where the needy gather. Thermoses have already been purchased for this purpose. The food will be cooked by the workers of churches,” reported the press service of Metropolis in an interview with the news agency “PenzaNews.”

The program is expected to last for the entire winter season.
