Oleg Sharipkov: Members of party in power become more often involved in criminal cases

Penza, 24 December 2012. PenzaNews. High-ranking officials and members of the party in power are more often becoming involved in criminal cases connected with budget thefts. This opinion was expressed by the Executive Director of the local community foundation “Civil Union” Oleg Sharipkov, commenting on recent media reports on Penza City Duma deputy Oleg Tyugaev having joined the federal wanted list.

“It is very sad that the number of such cases is growing in Russia. Every time the actions of dishonest officials threaten the authority of the government. I believe that is the reason why so many ordinary citizens view the authority representatives and the party United Russia as crooks and thieves,” the agency interlocutor commented.
He also suggested that the resonant case with Oleg Tyugaev will not be the last one in the Penza region.
As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, on Monday, December 24, it was officially confirmed that a member of the City Duma, a representative of the United Russia Oleg Tyugaev was put on the federal wanted list within the criminal case against the organized criminal group accused of crime under part 4, Art. 159 of the Criminal Code “Fraud.”
