Penza, 25 December 2012. PenzaNews. Award ceremony for the best coverage of local government work in the media in 2012 was held in Penza on Tuesday, December 25.

Addressing the participants of the meeting, the head of the city Yuri Alpatov noted that the government and the media are closely connected, informing the public about the current events via radio, television, newspapers and the Internet.

“Today, we do not draw the line, but finish the next stage of our collaboration,” the head of Penza said.

Yuri Alpatov thanked the journalists for cooperation and expressed hope for further fruitful work together.

The head of Penza administration Roman Chernov underlined that one of media objectives is “keeping the public in the information tone” so that it could actively participate in social life.

According to the head of the city, the region has many outstanding reporters, who can present information in a unique way.

“We are building a relationship, which allows us having discussions. I hope that our cooperation will continue,” he added.

Awards were presented to around 40 employees of Penza television, newspapers, radio and news agencies.

The editor-in-chief of news agency PenzaNews Pavel Polosin was awarded Penza City Duma diploma “For efficiency and information saturation.” Deputy editor-in-chief of the agency Natalia Eliseeva and press photographer Pavel Kulikov were awarded for professional skills and creative approach to the coverage of the City Duma activities.
