Penza, 26 December 2012. PenzaNews. Award ceremony for the best coverage of regional Legislative Assembly work in the media in 2012 was held in Penza on Wednesday, December 26.

Addressing the participants of the meeting, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev noted that the media are the main source of information for the public, which tells people about the laws adopted by the deputies.

Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region thanked the journalists for fruitful work and expressed hope for further cooperation.

“I want to thank all the people present here and wish you the most important thing – happiness. Let it enter your home on December 31 and stay forever,” Ivan Belozertsev said.

Awards were presented to around 30 employees of Penza television, newspapers, radio, news agencies and Internet portals.

News editor of TV channel Express Roman Maslov, who won the competition, was awarded a diploma of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, lapel badge and a cash prize of 40 thousand rubles.

Editor-in-chief of Echo Penza radio station Semyon Vakhshtayn took the second place and received 30 thousand rubles; editor-in-chief of news agency Penza-Press Irina Levova took the third place and got 20 thousand rubles.

Editor of newspaper “Zemlyaki. Penza” Olga Kukartseva was awarded People’s Choice Award. She received the prize of 10 thousand rubles.

Other representatives of the regional media, including the editor-in-chief of news agency PenzaNews Pavel Polosin, were distinguished by the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region and presented with valuable gifts.
