Penza, 27 December 2012. PenzaNews. From 2008 to 2012 in the Penza region 1,573 apartment buildings with total area of 3,45 million square meters were overhauled. This was announced by the acting head of the regional administration for housing and communal services Yuri Ilyin during an operational meeting in the regional government on Thursday, December 27.

“Over 150 thousand residents of the region improved their living conditions within this period of time,” he added.

According to Yuri Ilyin, housing overhaul program fund amounted to nearly 3 billion rubles in 2008–2012.

“In 2012, in the Penza region 128 apartment buildings with a total area of 449 thousand square meters were repaired, and over 18 thousand people improved their living conditions,” he said.

Yuri Ilyin stressed that at the moment in all municipalities participating in the regional program of overhaul in 2012, the work has been completed in full.
