Penza, 27 December 2012. PenzaNews. Over 50 children aged 8 to 14 returned to Penza after visiting the New Year Tree celebration at the State Kremlin Palace on Thursday, December 27.

According to the press service of the chief federal inspector in the Penza region, the major New Year Tree celebration in the country was visited by the winners of various competitions and contests, children from orphanages, disadvantaged families and large families, as well as those whose parents died performing their official duty.

“The total number of children having attended the event was around five thousand. They watched a fairy-tale performance and received New Year gifts from the President of Russia Vladimir Putin,” the press service commented in an interview with news agency “PenzaNews.”
