Penza, 27 December 2012. PenzaNews. A new award — the medal “In memory of the 350th anniversary of Penza” — is planned to be established in 2013.

According to the press service of the City Hall, the medal will be awarded to citizens who have made significant contributions to the development of industry, science, culture, education, health and sports, law and order, protection of the environment, as well as other areas of development of Penza.

“According to the layout, the front side of the medal bears the city coat of arms. The circumference reads the inscription “In memory of the 350th anniversary of Penza.” On the backside in the center, there is an official emblem of the anniversary celebration and the slogan “Preserving the past — creating the future!” the press service informed in an interview with news agency “PenzaNews.”

The administration added that the first presentation of medals would take place during the celebration of the anniversary of Penza.
