All residents of houses in emergency condition to be resettled before end of 2015

All the residents of apartment buildings in the Penza region recognized as old or being in emergency condition as of January 1, 2012, will be resettled by the end of 2015. This was announced by the acting head of the regional administration for housing and communal services Yuri Ilyin during an operational meeting in the regional government on Thursday, December 27.

“Within three years we are to resettle the residents of apartment buildings with a total area of 225 thousand square meters, which will require significant investment from the federal and regional budgets — around 7,5 billion rubles,” he said.
According to Yuri Ilyin, this will be a significant step forward for the region, as in the past five years the resettlement process received only 2,2 billion.
“Between 2008 and 2012, it was planned to resettle the residents of apartment buildings with total area of 74,1 thousand square meters, and over the next few years, we need to do three times as much,” he concluded.
