Penza, 9 January 2013. PenzaNews. 406 educational institutions of the Penza region, which is 68.3% had 512 kbps Internet connection in the second half of 2012. These data were published in the year-end report of the regional Ministry of Education.

According to the document, in the first half of the year this Internet connection speed was only seen in 23 institutions, or 3.9%.

At the same time in the beginning of 2012, 64.3% of educational institutions had 256 kbps Internet connection; 0.3% of schools – 128 kbps.

In the period from July to December 2012, ten educational institutions, or 1.7% had 1 Mbps Internet connection speed, 39 institutions (6.6%) – 10 Mbps, and only 139 institutions, which is 23,4% – 50 Mbps.
