Penza, 9 January 2013. PenzaNews. The average age of teachers in educational institutions of the Penza region in 2012 was 43 years old. This information was published in the year-end report of the regional Ministry of Education.

According to the official data, in 2011 the average age of Penza teachers was also 43, and one more year ago – 46 years old.

“Various forms of government support (grant support of successful graduates who started to work at school, and young teachers with experience of 2 to 5 years; provision of housing for young teachers in rural areas if they signed an agreement to work there for at least five years; lump-sum support payment of 35 and 24 thousand rubles for young professionals for the first three years of their work) provided a trend toward an increase of teachers young by age and experience in educational institutions of the Penza region,” the report says.
