Penza, 9 January 2013. PenzaNews. Transfer of TV broadcasting from analog standard to digital to be implemented in Penza in May–June 2013. This was announced by the city administration in an interview with news agency PenzaNews on Wednesday, January 9.

“In July of the current year, most of the Penza region will have digital TV broadcasting,” the city administration assured.

According to Penza Broadcasting Center, installation and adjustment of the equipment of the center of formation of multiplexes and satellite ground station is currently being completed in the region, which will allow assigning digital TV broadcasting in DVB-T2 standard.

According to the specialists, to access digital television the residents of the Penza region will need a TV-set with a digital input or a special receiver that supports the standard.

It is expected that analog standard broadcasting will be carried out along with digital one until 2017.
