According to the executive director of “Civil Union” Oleg Sharipkov, the idea of the action appeared after a “Twitter” message by Tamalinsky area head of administration Sergei Morgunov about a charity concert.

“The children needed New Year presents. They wrote letters to Father Frost, and we handed them over to the bank employees, who raised money and bought the things the children wanted, such as a bicycle, e-book, cell phone, roller-skates, dolls, radio-controlled cars and construction sets,” commented the agency interlocutor.

According to him, on the Old New Year’s Day the bank employees and representatives of “Civil Union,” along with Father Frost brought the gifts to the children’s home and participated in performances for the children.

“Then there was a meeting with the head of the area administration to discuss some other ways to help the children’s home. There live children aged three to fourteen, who were abandoned by their parents. And if they do not return to the family, or do not get adopted, the children are transferred to the orphanage upon reaching the age of fifteen,” the executive director of “Civil Union” pointed out.

He noted that one of the main tasks of the action was to draw attention to the needs of the children’s home.

“Children’s homes in the Penza region are known and receive help. But this kind of institutions remains out of sight. For example, Tamalinsky children’s home needs help with windows replacement and minor repairs. Hopefully we can find the well-wishers,” Oleg Sharipkov summed up.
