Zarechny, 15 January 2013. PenzaNews. The head of administration of Zarechny, the Penza region Vyacheslav Gladkov invited the Internet users to discuss methods of effective snow removal from the city roads.

“We traditionally, face the problem of road snow removal because of the cars parked on the side of the road. Before the New Year the Housing Department prepared and distributed a large number of announcements with the cleaning schedule. It is simple: on even days car parking is open on the even side of the street, and on odd days — on the other side, thus clearing up the space for the snow cleaning machine,” Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote in his blog.

According to him, few car owners obeyed the request of the public utility service.

“Is the proposed system of cleaning inconvenient? Hard to understand? If there are any constructive proposals, we are willing to discuss them,” the mayor of Zarechny noted.

Among the proposals made by the readers are towing of improperly parked cars, additional road signs , more active propaganda and systematic work to increase awareness of drivers.
