Grigory Zhitenev became head of Investigative Department of Investigative Committee in Kirov region

Penza, 16 January 2013. PenzaNews. Colonel of Justice Grigory Zhitenev, who was the deputy head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Penza region, was appointed the head of the same department in the Kirov region. A corresponding decree was signed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. As the press service of the Kremlin stated in an interview with news agency “PenzaNews,” the service term of the new head is two years.

Grigory Zhitenev was born in 1972 in Zarechny, the Penza region.

In 1994, he graduated from the Institute of Prosecution of Saratov State Law Academy. In the same year he was hired by the prosecutor’s office of the Penza region, where he worked as an investigator, a prosecutor of the department for supervision over the legality of judicial decisions in criminal matters, a deputy prosecutor of Oktyabrsky district of Penza, a head of the department for investigation supervision, inquiry and operational-investigative activities.

In 2007, he was appointed the deputy head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Prosecutor’s Office in the Penza region. He was responsible for the organization of criminal prosecution, procedural activities of the department of criminology and procedural control, providing organizational, analytical, methodical, legal and information work.

He was awarded the medal “For Distinguished Service” III degree for exemplary service and high results.

In 2009, he was awarded the order “Honorary Worker of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.”
