Bar raids registered no cases of alcohol sold to minors in Penza

Penza, 17 January 2013. PenzaNews. No violations of the law banning sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors were registered in the course of preventive raids on Penza bars, cafes and nightclubs, conducted by the police officers, representatives of the regional government and the City Hall on Wednesday evening, January 16.

Raid members verified documents authorizing sale of alcohol products in the entertainment establishments.
In addition, the committee representatives held preventive discussions with the management and staff of bars on the necessity to follow the law.
According to the chief expert of the Penza region government, department of crime prevention and cooperation with law enforcement authorities Oleg Kurdyukov, such raids are meant to remind the employees of places of entertainment not to sell alcohol to minors.
“In Russia, alcohol is not banned, and young people often go to cafes in their leisure time. Drinking often leads to delinquency. Our task is to ensure that the law is not violated in entertainment establishments. This time, minors were not detected there,” Oleg Kurdyukov commented.
