“It is necessary to verify provision of food, its quality and the number of intermediaries in the supply chain of products from the farm to the table,” the head of the region said at a workshop on Friday, January 18.
According to Vasily Bochkarev, educational institutions buy expensive products.
“Intermediaries build profitability ranging from 25 to 40%. And this is the money we can use to feed our children,” he noted.
The head of administration of Penza Roman Chernov said that Penza set of products for school meals is one of the cheapest.
“For example, in Zarechny it is 15% more expensive. Moreover, the service providers are changing every year, and we will continue monitoring the quality of their services,” Roman Chernov said.
The governor suggested that overvaluation might be specified in the requirements specification under which service provider tenders are held, so he asked to verify the documents.
