Penza, 18 January 2013. PenzaNews. Verdict against a resident of Kuznetsk area, the Penza region, storing in his house 940 cartridges of ammunition, a box of which he found in the village pond, entered into force.
“The court found him guilty of an offense under Part 1, Art. 222 of the Criminal Code “Illegal acquiring, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of weapon, its main parts, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices,” and sentenced him to a year and a half of imprisonment with a probation period of one year,” the Senior Assistant Attorney of the region Yuliya Makarova commented in an interview with news agency PenzaNewson Friday, January 18.
According to her, the convict could not explain what the purpose of keeping the ammunition was.
“In accordance with the decision of the court, the evidence in the criminal case shall be destroyed,” the agency interlocutor added.
