Penza, 21 January 2013. PenzaNews. About 80% of Penza residents are for the most part or completely satisfied with their lives. According to this indicator, the city took the eighth place in the rating compiled by experts of the Center for Strategic Research “Rosgosstrakh” based on the results of 2012.

“The level of people’s satisfaction with their lives decreased: thus, in December, 83% of people of the cities of Russia were satisfied with their lives against 86% of the previous month. The highest level of satisfaction was registered in January – December 2012 in Tyumen, Naberezhnye Chelny, and St. Petersburg, the lowest — in Saratov, Volgograd, and Kostroma,” states the narrative part of the rating.

In Penza, percentage of workers feeling confident about the future of their enterprise amounted to 76%. The leader according to this indicator became Yekaterinburg (83%), the outsider — Volgograd (69%).

67% of the population of Kazan, 66% of Tyumen, the same amount of people in St. Petersburg, and 57% of Penza residents are positive about their future.

The percentage of people, who can afford buying a car and an apartment in Penza is 12%, while in St. Petersburg it is 26%, in Moscow — 21%, in Kazan — 17%, in the Saratov and Samara — 16 %, and in Ulyanovsk — 10%.

According to the unemployment index among the cities with over 500 thousand people, Penza took the third place after Moscow and Ulyanovsk with 4,1%. Some other indices are 3,9% in Nizhny Novgorod, 3,7% in Saratov, 3,4% in Kazan, 3,3% in Perm, and 2,9% in Izhevsk.

The rating was based on a survey with 11 thousand respondents in 36 Russian cities, conducted in December 2012.
