Over 52 thousand chickens imported in Penza region since beginning of 2013

Penza, 22 January 2013. PenzaNews. Over 52,160 day-old chickens have been delivered to Penza poultry enterprises from the Volgograd and Moscow regions since the beginning of 2013.

As the press service of the regional administration of Russian agricultural supervision told news agency “PenzaNews,” the Penza region also received two thousand turkey hatching eggs of Canadian origin.

“The import of hatching eggs and day-old chickens was carried out under the supervision of specialists from the ministry representing a department of border veterinary control at the state border of the Russian Federation and transport, which registered no violations. Each batch of birds, delivered to the enterprises and farms of the Penza region, has been placed in quarantine, during which all necessary tests and vaccinations of chickens will be made,” the press service explained.
