Penza, 22 January 2013. PenzaNews. Damage caused to Penza agricultural land because of littering exceeded 14 million rubles, based on the data of the end of 2012.

As the press service of the regional administration of Russian agricultural supervision told news agency “PenzaNews,” 84 illegal dumps of solid waste were detected on the area of 30,7 hectares.

“Administrative proceedings were brought up against 80 officials and individuals. By the beginning of 2013, 76 dumps were eliminated, damages for the total amount of approximately 4 million rubles were compensated,” the administration explained.
