Kuznetsk, 25 January 2013. PenzaNews. The location of the future waste treatment plant, the agreement of construction of which was signed between the government of the Penza region, Kuznetsk administration and investor in August 2012, will be determined in a short time, as the plant construction is scheduled for the coming summer, when all the required examinations have been passed.
“It is expected that the plant will be commissioned in mid-2014 and will be able to process about 100 thousand tons of waste each year, which will cover the needs of the city,” the press service of the administration told news agency “PenzaNews.”
The administration added that the cost of the project is approximately 85 million euro; the estimated number of staff is 40 people.
In turn, the representative of the investor — the Director General of “DPG company” German Evdokimov — explained that the new plant will not use the conventional incineration technology with the release of hazardous substances.
“We plan to use a modern technology. At first unsorted trash will be sanitized in an autoclave, then automatically separated into glass, metal and plastic for subsequent sale. The rest of the organic portion of the waste will be processed into pellets, which are used as fuel,” said German Evdokimov.
