Penza, 25 January 2013. PenzaNews. 124 thousand veterans of labor and military service, 12 thousand veterans of labor of the Penza region, 1,5 thousand workers of the home front, over 900 rehabilitated people, 20 Heroes of Social Labor and 12 widows of Heroes, as well as over 200 women awarded with the medal of “Maternal Valor,” received different kinds of social support in 2012.

“More than 79,5 thousand beneficiaries received monthly money compensation for the use of local telephone services, about 140 thousand people received compensation covering housing and communal services,” the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Penza region told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry noted that 5 thousand people used the right for reduced fare for railway tickets for commuter transport “Weekend Ticket” for a total of 478,7 thousand rubles.

“On the average, every month each beneficiary received 1,018 rubles, the index of 2011 amounted to 946 rubles,” explained the Ministry of Health in the region.
