Penza, 30 January 2013. PenzaNews. The head of Penza Yuri Alpatov pointed out that he is not satisfied with the way the municipal services perform their duties of street cleaning. “Today we drove through the city after all the instructions that had been given to the municipal services. In some places, we wanted to put the skates on for it seemed faster to go round the city this way. The governor Vasily Bochkarev called this situation outrageous,” he pointed out during a meeting of the Committee for Road Safety held on Wednesday, January 30.

Yuri Alpatov noted that after the snowfall, which lasted for about a week in Penza, public utility services managed to remove the snow from the roads only, evading the sidewalks and yards.
“During our tour around the city, we saw only four people with scrapers fighting with ice, and that was in the center of Penza. Street cleaning services are paid for in full,” the head of the city pointed out.
“We have no time to spare. Take out all the machinery we have,” Yuri Alpatov concluded.
