Penza, 31 January 2013. PenzaNews. Mandatory payment for the overhaul of residential apartment buildings will be introduced in the Penza region in 2014. This was announced by the acting head of the regional administration for housing and communal services Yuri Ilyin during a press conference on Thursday, January 31.

He noted that the innovation is stipulated by the 2012 amendments to the Housing Code and the regulations relating to the Fund for assistance to reforming housing and communal services.

Yuri Ilyin pointed out that the amount of payment has not been determined yet, but it is clear that it will be levied in proportion to the total apartment area.

“The amount of the federal overhaul standard set for the Penza region in 2012 was 6 rubles per 1 sq. meter; in 2013 it is expected to be 6,5 rubles, in 2014 — 7 rubles. This is the amount to keep in mind,” Yuri Ilyin said.

He also noted that people entitled for benefits will be able to receive those.
