Five young Penza scientists to receive President Grants

Penza, 4 February 2013. PenzaNews. Five Penza university professors, four of whom have Ph.D. and one — Grand Ph.D., are among the recipients of President Grants allocated to support young Russian scientists.

“In 2013, the research works of two teachers of Penza State University of Architecture and Construction will be funded — the one by Eugeny Chizhov on “Analysis and synthesis of bulk plastic-lens refractive-diffractive zoom lenses” and the one by Marina Moroz on “Development of technology for manufacture of energy-efficient long-life high-strength concrete of new generation for modern housing, industrial and road construction,” said the representative of the President Grant Council of the Russian Federation.

He added that one more grant went to the professor of Penza State Technological Academy Andrei Kireev, who presented his project on “Development of methods for electrical impedance tomography of high-resolution.”

“In addition, we also noted the work “Structure of communities of unicellular organisms: implementation of biocenotic diversity in space and time” by the representative of Penza State University Yuri Mazey,” the agency interlocutor said.

The only Grand Ph.D. from Penza awarded with Russian President Grant is a professor of Penza State Tecnological Academy Dmitry Zhatkin.

“The committee rated highly his work “Textual study and poetics of Russian literary translation of XIX – the beginning of XXI century: reception of poetry of English Romanticism in synchrony and diachrony,” the agency interlocutor concluded.
