“This bill was introduced by the governor Vasily Bochkarev in December 2012. He proposed to limit the sale of alcohol from 19.00 to 9.00. The deputies could not come up with unified decision on the issue,” Ivan Belozertsev said.

According to the deputy, the adoption of the law was postponed by two months. The document was sent to the municipalities for discussion, a round table was held with representatives of public organizations, law enforcement, and medical personnel.

“This bill is the first step. It will be introduced at the next session scheduled for February 15. The restriction to be proposed will take into account the views expressed — from 21.00 to 9.00,” the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region underlined.

The Penza region currently has 221 cafes, 80 bars, 30 restaurants, and 76 diners in operation.
