Fire station in Austrina St in Penza to be put in operation in April

Penza, 7 February 2013. PenzaNews. The new fire station in Austrina St in Penza, designed for three water tank trucks and one fire motor ladder, is scheduled to be put in operation in April 2013. This was announced by the deputy head of unit No. 6 of the Federal Fire-Fighting Service in the Penza region Andrei Chuprunov during the visit of the representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia on Thursday, February 7.

The building and the surrounding area were examined by the deputy head of the Volga Region emergency center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Andrei Tretyakov, the head of the state department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Penza region Sergei Kozlov, and employees of the district offices and heads of municipalities of the district.

“This station will aim at elimination of fires and road-accidents within 17-km distance from the federal highway “Ural.” The fire station staff will amount to 32 people. At the moment, only 22 specialists have been hired,” Andrei Chuprunov noted.

He specified that the total area of the new station is 1,429 square meters.
