The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev instructed the representatives of educational institutions to organize a broad discussion of the causes and consequences of a major accident with five people killed and two people seriously injured, which occurred in Mokshansky area on Saturday, February 9.

“I visited the accident scene. There is a nice smooth road, but people have become reckless. They have found a possibility to buy driver’s license. Accidents happen due to speeding and rule violation. We must speak out loud about this, and this state of matter should not be a standard,” the head of the region said.

He also pointed out that many people tend to drive dangerously due to simple diversion, such as smoking or talking on the phone while driving.

“Traffic police do not take preventive measures. This office should be forced to work for everyone to know that traffic police of the Penza region is not for sale,” the head of the region underlined.
