Penza, 11 February 2013. PenzaNews. Around 4 billion rubles need to be spent on resettlement of dilapidated and unsafe housing in Penza.
As the head of the city department of housing and communal services Alexei Agafilov told news agency “PenzaNews,” 50% of this amount can be allocated from the Fund for Housing Reforming, but to enter the program a number of conditions must be met.
“Resettlement with the help of federal co-financing is only possible for those houses declared dilapidated or emergency as of January 1, 2012. We have 473 buildings with a total area of 143 thousand square meters of this kind. The cost of new housing established by the law is 28,250 rubles per 1 square meter,” Alexei Agafilov said.
He noted that the second most important condition is that resettlement of housing should be carried out within three years.
“This means we have to allocate 50% of the necessary amount from the budget of the city and the region, and resettle people by December 31, 2015, otherwise, the federal funds shall have to be returned,” the head of the city department of housing and communal services concluded.
