Last respects for Irina Levova to take place in Penza on February 19

Penza, 18 February 2013. PenzaNews. Last respects for famous journalist Irina Levova, who headed news agency “Penza-Press,” will take place at the funeral hall of Penza City Clinical Hospital No. 4 on the coming Tuesday, February 19.
Irina Levova died after a long illness in her 50th year on Saturday, February 16.
Irina Levova was born in Penza, 19 July 1963.
She graduated from the cultural-educational school with a degree in cultural and educational work. She was director of the folk theatre in Bekovsky area, senior inspector of the department of culture of municipal executive committee, while studying in the Ryazan branch of the Moscow State Institute of Culture.
Irina Levova was one of the originators of commercial television in Penza – in 1996 she became the program director of CJSC RKTV “Master.”
In 2000, she was the inspirer, and later editor-in-chief of Channel 22 in Penza.
Since 2006, she had been the advisor to the Governor of the Penza region, and a year later led the press service of the department of internal policy of the regional government.
In recent years, she led the editorial office of the news agency “Penza-Press.”
She was a member of the Russian Union of Journalists.
Irina Levova was awarded certificates of honor and gratitude of the Legislative Assembly of the region, the head of administration, Penza regional court, as well as of a number of ministries and departments.
