Penza, 26 February 2013. PenzaNews. 206 million rubles, which is about 7% of the required amount, will be spent for road maintenance in Penza in 2013. This was announced by the head of the city administration Roman Chernov during the parliamentary hearings on the state of roads in the Penza region, held in the Legislative Assembly of the region on Tuesday, February 26.

“To keep all Penza roads in the required state, 1,340 thousand square meters of roads need to be repaired annually, which takes almost 1,5 billion rubles,” he said.

Roman Chernov noted that these funds should be spent for the annual overhaul of 424 thousand square meters of road, average repairs of 834 thousand square meters of road, and minor repairs of 84 thousand square meters.

“In 2012, the overhaul of only 67 thousand square meters and minor repairs of 94 thousand square meters of Penza roads were actually carried out,” he concluded.
