This was announced by the head of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region Sergey Buylov during a meeting with reporters at the press center of news agency PenzaNews on Friday, March 15.

“22,5 thousand driver’s licenses were issued in the region in 2012. Based on previous years’ data, we get 8% drivers more every year,” he said.
He noted that the number of vehicles is growing slower.
“As of 1 January 2013, 448 thousand vehicles were registered in the Penza region. A year earlier, the number did not exceed 424 thousand, in other words, in 12 months the number of vehicles in the region increased by 5,6%. According to recent reports, a monthly increase is 1,987 units,” Sergey Buylov specified.
According to him, it can be predicted that in a short time every third resident of the Penza region will have a car.
“As for Penza, there are 157 thousand vehicles registered here, which is 6% more than a year ago,” the head of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region commented.
