Seminar of Moscow School of Political Studies started in Penza

Penza, 15 March 2013. PenzaNews. Seminar of Moscow School of Political Studies “Civic culture and urban communities in the regions of Russia” officially started in Penza on Friday, March 15.

The opening ceremony was attended by the editor-in-chief of the “Reserve stock: Debates on politics and culture” Andrei Zakharov, the academic director of the Center for Sociological and Political Education of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sogomonov, and the chairman of the government of the Penza region Yuri Krivov.

“It’s nice to see so many people here, to listen to them, and understand that Penza is an intelligent city. I hope that a good spirit of creation is hovering here today. And in the end, we shall have not only partnership, but obtain certain results. We want that the community to which we belong, to be beautiful, creative and prestigious,” Yuri Krivov said.

In turn, Alexander Sogomonov added that one of the objectives of the seminar is to discuss how the current Russian policy modifies the policy in the regions.

Andrei Zakharov underlined that the school decided holding forums in Penza as well, which is a good sign.

“We live in a wonderful era, which we desire to comprehend. And today, in particular, we shall talk about how Russia perceives the world, and how the world apprehends Russia,” he said.
