This was stated by the head of the region Vasily Bochkarev during the meeting of anti-drug committee held on Friday, March 15.

“Our primary goals are saving people and improving the demographic situation, so we need finding complex solution of the problems associated with the use and distribution of drugs. People’s lives and health depend on our work,” he stressed.

In turn, the head of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia in the Penza region Yuri Denisov pointed that over the past year, the number of registered drug addicts decreased by 3,6% in the region.

“The number of first-time drug users decreased by 20%. And the number of offenses connected with drug trafficking decreased by 9,9%,” press service of the government of the Penza region quoted Yuri Denisov.
