Creation of Emergency Call System 112 officially starts in Penza region

Penza, 12 April 2013. PenzaNews. The regulation on the emergency call system with a single number 112 in the Penza region was approved by the resolution of the regional government.
The document, which is available to news agency PenzaNews, defines the objectives, structure, and order of creation and functioning of “System 112.”
It is expected that the project implementation will organize the work of emergency services based on “a single-window principle,” which will help the services to respond faster in an emergency situation.
According to the regulation, “System 112” will include several components: telecommunication, information, geoinformation subsystems, as well as advisory, monitoring, information security subsystems.
It is planned that, creation of “System 112” will provide information interaction between dispatch services of the Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Penza region, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Forestry, the utilities department of the region, the police, as well as organizations maintaining gas and electricity provision.
The project is planned to be implemented within four stages.
In 2013, the system will operate on a temporary route. In 2014–2015, the system will unfold according to the technical project. In 2016, the test run is scheduled, and in 2017, “System 112” will be tested at a state level.
As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, the Penza region government will allocate 3 million rubles for the development of documents for “System 112.”
