Penza, 17 April 2013. PenzaNews. The first stage of technopark which is currently being constructed in Tsentralnaya St in Penza should be put in operation in June 2013. “Construction has been prolonged for a number of reasons, many of which are beyond control of the Penza region. For example, the funds allocated from the federal budget intended for the year 2012, arrived only in the end of the year. As a result, around 200 million rubles were not used. In addition, the contractor company which at first lowered the price of construction during the auction to 160 million rubles, soon stated that this amount of money was not enough,” the head of the region said.
However, he noted that at present, the construction picked up good pace.
“Both Penza and Moscow specialists work here. I have a good feeling about the project. We need to commission the first stage at least in June to show the federal center that we are committed to implement the project,” Vasily Bochkarev pointed out.
He added that he is taking all the necessary measures to comply with the terms of commissioning.
“Attracting federal funds to the region is always difficult, but we are working and will keep on doing everything in this direction,” the governor stated.
